Over the top! - Richard A
We recently held a community fundraising event for UFAR, a nonprofit no-kill animal shelter in Margate, Florida, and the support we received was nothing short of incredible. After reaching out to local businesses, one partnership stood out perfectly—Subaru and dogs just go together like milk and cookies. North Fort Lauderdale Subaru didn't just meet expectations—they exceeded them. They generously donated a beautiful basket filled with dog toys, a collar, leash, an adorable Subaru dog shirt, and even a free oil change with tire rotation. But they didn't stop there. They also provided their Love Promise Specialist, who played a key role in helping organize the event itself. Even though Subaru hosts their own adoption events every October, they were eager to step in and support UFAR's mission during a critical time.🐾 That evening vans were FILLED with desperately needed food, medications, and supplies—an estimated $5,000–$6,000 worth that UFAR no longer has to purchase. The evening raised over $11,000.00 in cash. Because of this one night, UFAR Animal Rescue can keep going… for now.
Rooted in the Community, - Beth B
Subaru North Fort Lauderdale believes in giving back and investing in a future that's not only brighter—but greener. We were proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation and NFL Subaru on a meaningful initiative that brought nature closer to home. Over the course of one week, they donated trees throughout our local community, including to our Garden Club. Through this partnership, residents and club members were invited to request a free tree—no strings attached. Participants could choose from four beautiful options: Sweet bay Magnolia – Known for its creamy white, lemon-scented flowers and glossy green leaves, this tree adds both beauty and fragrance to any landscape. It thrives in our region and attracts birds, butterflies, and other pollinators. Bald Cypress – A unique and majestic tree that flourishes in wet areas, admired for its striking fall color and towering presence. It stands as a living reminder of the resilience and beauty of our natural ecosystems. Oak – A classic American shade tree, the Shumard Oak grows strong and tall, offering brilliant red fall foliage and a sturdy structure that can last for generations. Crape Myrtle – With vibrant summer blooms and colorful bark, this tree adds charm and curb appeal year-round. It's low-maintenance and thrives in sunny Florida landscapes. Together, we're planting more than trees—we're planting roots of hope, sustainability, and connection. As a brand, Subaru is doing more than selling cars. They're helping build communities that value nature, growth, and a shared responsibility for the planet we all call home.
Flag Retirement and meeting - Troup 229 E
Scout Troop 229, joined by the Cub Scouts, held their monthly meeting at NFL Subaru, where they respectfully retired the old flag during a Flag Retirement Ceremony and then with a new state and US flag preformed a Flag Raising Ceremony. Following the ceremonies, the Scouts and Cub Scouts enjoyed pizza and cupcakes before concluding the evening's meeting. Thank you to Nicole and Seth for opening up your dealership to our Troop and for trusting Troop 229 to preform your ceremony.
Amazing car buying experience - Jess J
I have to be honest—I am completely blown away by the experience we had yesterday at Subaru. I've been searching for a vehicle that could tow my vintage Airstream Salon, but because I have a handicap, I can't drive a large vehicle. I had been looking at Volkswagen since that's what I previously owned, but they told me I could trade in my car for $5,000 down and still pay $800 a month. I left there in December completely shocked. My daughters and I have recently gone through a domestic violence situation involving my younger daughter's father. He was our rock—our go-to person. He had the pickup truck and he built my Airstream. Now that he's gone, I've had to learn how to do all of this on my own. A client of mine mentioned how much she loves her Subaru and that it has a 3,000-pound towing capacity. I was stunned. I started looking it up on my phone and almost instantly got a call inviting me to come in. I told them I had only had two and a half hours of sleep, had no money to put down, and absolutely needed a vehicle that could tow. After my Volkswagen experience, I was very skeptical. I cannot say enough good things about everyone there. From Andrew, who welcomed me in the parking lot, to Quan, and the finance manager (I'm so sorry I forgot his name)—every single person was kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. The dealership itself felt warm and calming, from the beautiful smell to the healthy live plants. Andrew is absolutely amazing. He worked everything out for me, and I left with the most incredible vehicle—something I truly didn't think was possible. I am so grateful and so blessed. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Thank You NFL Subaru - Isabella P
Imagine facing daily life without shoes. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent needs across the country—including right here in Fort Lauderdale—this is a harsh reality. These essential items provide more than warmth and protection—they help restore dignity and positively impact a child's mental and emotional well-being. Together, with North Fort Lauderdale Subaru we are taking meaningful steps toward a more hopeful future for those who need it most. Thank you again for your continued support.
Fifth Annual 'Fall in Love' Adoption Event Success - Melissa T
One of our favorite adoption stories from this year’s Subaru Loves Pets® event is Princessa Dairy. She was rescued from a hoarder situation along with nine other dogs, arriving severely matted, filthy, and extremely shy around people. This event was her very first adoption outing—and it changed her life. Thanks to the visibility and supportive environment of the Subaru event, Princessa met her perfect match. Her new dad, Richard, spent nearly two hours sitting with her, patiently earning her trust. The joy on his face when we told him he was approved to adopt her was unforgettable. And the magic didn’t stop there. At the event, Princessa was reunited with her buddy Swayze, another dog rescued from the same hoarding case. The moment they recognized each other, she lit up in a way we hadn’t seen before. Richard immediately saw how special their bond was—and because of the Subaru event bringing them together, he chose to adopt both of them. This beautiful double adoption simply wouldn’t have happened without the Subaru Loves Pets® Program. What began as two dogs coming from a home overwhelmed by neglect, filth, and fleas has transformed into a brand-new beginning. Today, Princessa and Swayze are safe, cherished, and living their best lives with their loving new dad. It was a moment that brought everyone to tears and reminded us exactly why these events and our rescue work matters so much.
